For the first time in France, this exhibition pays tribute to one of this major figure of modern art with an exceptional ensemble of 90 paintings and some 50 watercolours, etchings and drawings. The hallmarks of Emile Nolde's art are his extraordinary colour harmonies, uncompromising drawing and narrative verve. He depicted both the theatre of life and the whole of humanity.
